Variant 2

The central element of the emblem is a round composition of equally prominent stylized images symbolizing the unity of ancient traditions and modern times, economic and cultural relations of Novgorod the Great.

The silver bell is a symbol of Novgorod’s democratic traditions and customs. The Hansa-Novgorod relations reached their height in the age of the Novgorod Republic.
